Richard Horowitz, Renowned Timpanist and Craftsman of Conductors' Batons, Dies at 91

Mr. Horowitz, who spent 66 years and some 10,000 performances with the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra, had stumbled into a second career making the directors' sticks.
